Meyer Family Vineyards 'Meyer' Chardonnay, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Classic, zesty, fresh.
Harvested from a selection of vineyards from Naramata, Okanagan Falls and Osoyoos this Chardonnay was cool fermented in neutral oak and stainless steel then left to age on fine lees for six months where 75% went through natural secondary fermentation before bottling.
Yellow apple aromas are layered with almonds and grilled lemons, toasted spice and hay notes. It's a juicy white, spiced, lemony and nutty with a classic sort of Chablis character. The finish is zesty.

Meyer Family Vineyards 'Micro Cuvee' Chardonnay, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Elegant, profound,complex.
Located in the Okanagan Falls sub-GI, Meyer Family Vineyards specializes in premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from estate vineyards under the winemaking guidance of Chris Carson.
The 2018 Micro Cuvee Chardonnay is selected from MFV's Old Main Road vineyard on the Naramata Bench. A long, cool fermentation took place in stainless steel vessels where it remained for most of the ferment. The must was then transferred to 100% French oak (33% new) and left sur lie for 11 months without battonage; natural malolactic fermentation occurred in late spring. For this Micro Cuvee they selected the most outstanding barrels and in keeping with their philosophy to maintain a hands-off approach in the cellar (allowing for true expression of terroir), the wine is unfined and unfiltered.
Warm buttered biscuits, apple turnovers, honeysuckle, toasted spice and vanilla liqueur aromas flow seamlessly onto a plush yet lively palate. Creamy and complex with woven fruit, citrus, spice and nutty flavours this wine is elegant, delicious and frankly, profound.

Meyer Family Vineyards 'Micro Cuvee' Pinot Noir, Okanagan Falls, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Elegant, complete, silky.
Located in the Okanagan Falls sub-GI, Meyer Family Vineyards specializes in premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from estate vineyards under the winemaking guidance of Chris Carson.
The 2018 Micro Cuvee Pinot Noir is blended from selected barrels from their McLean Creek Road vineyard. It went through a full malolactic fermentation and was matured in French oak barrels (40% new) and was aged for 11 months. Made in a hands-off approach supporting an expression of terroir,it is also unfined and unfiltered.
It’s flagrant affinity to those Pinots from Pommard is thanks to its high percentage of clone 91; it also benefits from the aromatics of clone 115.
Truly outstanding, it is perfumed with raspberry and sweet cherries, cedar chips and cardamom, star anise, cocoa nibs and lovely undertones of violets. The palate is just as pristine as the nose suggests; high-toned red fruit flavours are woven with fine spice, wildflowers and leather. It has a silky texture and sort of bouncy/juicy character but it remains elegant and complete.
A beautifully constructed wine.
