Meyer Family Vineyards 'Micro Cuvee' Pinot Noir, Okanagan Falls, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Elegant, seamless, expressive.
Located in the Okanagan Falls sub-GI, Meyer Family Vineyards specializes in premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from estate vineyards under the winemaking guidance of Chris Carson.
The 2018 Micro Cuvee Pinot Noir is blended from selected barrels from their McLean Creek Road vineyard. It came together in two new 500 litre French oak puncheons along with four one-year-old French oak puncheons and was aged for 11 months. Made in a hands-off approach supporting an expression of terroir,it is also unfined and unfiltered.
It’s flagrant affinity to those Pinots from Pommard is thanks to its high percentage of clone 91; it also benefits from the aromatics of clone 115.
It over delivers with aromas of ripe cherry and black raspberry, violets and cedar, rainforest floor along with botanical notes. Expressive juicy fruit and brown spice flavours are lashed with vanilla. Silky, harmonious and elegant it's a beautifully constructed wine.

Meyer Family Vineyards 'Reimer Family Vineyard' Pinot Noir, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Seductive, fragrant, complete.
The Reimer Family Vineyard is located in east Kelowna with alluvial, silt and gravel loam soils. The wine is aged in French oak barrels (27% new) for 11 months.
The bouquet is seductive; raspberry and violets, cherry jelly and vanilla, tealeaf and cedar chips with hints of forest floor and beet greens. Earthy and finely spiced, silky and succulent. It is a wonderfully complete Pinot, deftly woven and surreptitiously delicious.

Meyer Family Vineyards 'Tribute Series' Chardonnay Old Main Road Vineyard, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Carved, silky, racy.
From the Meyer family's estate vineyard on the Naramata Bench, this year's Tribute Chardonnay pays homage to Donovan Tildesley--a blind Paralympic swimmer.
It seems Meyer can do no wrong; a focus on what they do well and making premium wines. This version is toasty and assertive; notes of oyster shell and matchstick, grilled lemons and brown spices with creamed butter. The palate is equally confident; racy acidity, spice and citrus flavours are carved free with a creamy edge. It is slick and silky with a toasted coriander flavoured finish.
Aged in French oak (22% new). The wine was left "sur lees" for 11 months without battonage and went through natural malolactic fermentation. The wine is unfined and coarsely filtered.

Meyer Family Vineyards Chardonnay 'Stevens Block, Old Main Road Vineyard', Naramata Bench, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Focused, tangy, pristine.
Made from Wente clone vines (from California), which are planted on silty clay loam soils, this Chardonnay spent 8 months ageing on fine lees in seasoned French oak and went through 100% natural secondary fermentation.
Aromas of Asian pears and yellow apples, honeysuckle and spritzy lemon notes with vague spiced oak and hazelnuts. It is clean, focused and fresh with oodles of tangy citrus peel finish.

Meyer Family Vineyards Chardonnay, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Expressive, woven, fresh.
Harvested from a selection of vineyards from Naramata, Okanagan Falls and Osoyoos this Chardonnay was cool fermented in neutral oak and stainless steel then left to age on fine lees for four months where it went through a natural secondary fermentation before bottling.
Brilliant yellow and releasing aromas of golden apples, brown spices, honey roasted nuts and white flowers, which translate to a creamy yet fresh palate with lovely weight and balance. It has superb fruit expression that is wonderfully woven with nuts and spice.
