Trapiche Reserve Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Value, generous, balanced.
Made to pair with Argentine asado (grill), this high-altitude Malbec was aged 9 months in oak for additional complexity and softening.
Spiced plums and smoked herbs, bittersweet chocolate, espresso and hints of violets appear on the nose. Sweet and generous purple fruit, coffee and brown spiced flavours adorn the palate. It checks all the boxes; balance, structure, fruit and persistence.

Villa Conchi Cava Brut Seleccion, Penedes Spain
Readers rated this wine:
Enjoyable, fresh, bright.
Made from equal parts of Spain's three Cava varieties: Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel-lo and a splash (10%) of Chardonnay, this dry traditional method fizz shows nice complexity. It also has a gorgeous aqua and gold label.
Expect melon and yellow apples, wildflowers, bread dough and bright lemony aromas. The palate is juicy with bright fruit atop brioche. Very enjoyable and well priced.
