Trapiche 'Medalla' Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Harmonious, fragrant, generous.
Made from grapes grow in Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu in Mendoza province, this outstanding Malbec was aged 12 months in new French oak barrels and delivers pretty aromas of sweet black raspberry, smoked cedar chips, vanilla, licorice, mocha, patchouli and dried roses. Generous purple fruits are layered with brown spice, tealeaf and earthy flavours.
Powerful yet elegant, harmonious and persistent but definitely some heat on the finish. Loads of life left on this wine even with five years on it.

Trapiche 'Terroir Series~Finca Ambrosia' Malbec, Gualtallary, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
This single vineyard Terroir Series comes from a site in the high Uco Valley, sitting at 1300 m.a.s.l and like its name suggests, it is ambrosial. Fragrant cedar chips and dried violets create a potpourri of aromas; purple fruit, charred licorice root, bacon fat and baking spices round out the nose. It is big and bold, spicy and meaty. Lively acidity balances the lingering chewy tannins and the finish is extensive, trailing bittersweet cocoa.
A wine for grilled meats, hearty stews, or roasted mushroom sauces.

Trapiche Reserve Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Value, generous, balanced.
Made to pair with Argentine asado (grill), this high-altitude Malbec was aged 9 months in oak for additional complexity and softening.
Spiced plums and smoked herbs, bittersweet chocolate, espresso and hints of violets appear on the nose. Sweet and generous purple fruit, coffee and brown spiced flavours adorn the palate. It checks all the boxes; balance, structure, fruit and persistence.
