Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough New Zealand, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
What you have come to expect from a Marlborough Sauvignon - pungent aromas of grass clippings, gooseberries, guava, jalapeno and citrus peel. The palate is snappy, showing passionfruit, gooseberry, plenty of herbs, citrus and snap pea flavours with underlying minerality. The finish is tart and gets your mouth watering, perhaps in anticipation for oysters or an asperagus and chevre salad.
