Fort Berens Estate Winery Chardonnay, British Columbia
Readers rated this wine:
Fruity, aromatic, fresh.

Pioneering one of BC's emerging wine regions, Fort Berens (named after a trading post, which was located on their property some 150 years ago) is located Lillooet, BC in the Fraser Canyon.
This vintage, their Chardonnay (a mix of estate and sourced fruit) doles out vanilla and honeysuckle, peaches and yellow plum aromas. It is fruity and honeyed in the mouth with faint notes of: oak, spice, vanilla and butterscotch. Juicy and fresh and very tasty.

Fort Berens Estate Winery Chardonnay, British Columbia
Readers rated this wine:
Toasted, bright, spicy.

Pioneering one of BC's emerging wine regions, Fort Berens (named after a trading post, which was located on their property some 150 years ago) is located Lillooet, BC in the Fraser Canyon. This vintage, their Chardonnay doles out roasted hazelnuts, buttery croissants, lemon meringue and fine spice with a core of yellow apples and toasted oak. It shows a more toasted oak on the palate this vintage than last, but is nicely balanced with bright acidity to keep it fresh.
Good weight overall.

Fort Berens Estate Winery Dry Riesling, British Columbia
Readers rated this wine:
Fragrant, zesty, tangy.
Inoculated with a South African yeast, which promotes enhanced aromatics during fermentation, this off-dry (although is says dry) has 4.5g/L residual sugar, so it's still on the drier side of off-dry, is as stated, fragrant. Green apples, peach fuzz, dried pineapples and candied lemon peel aromas lead to a juicy palate that is nappy, slick and tangy. The finish is zesty and it has some phenolic texture.
