Harper's Trail ' Silver Mane Block' Riesling, British Columbia
Readers rated this wine:

Harper's Trail is pioneering the Kamloops wine region with their Thadd Springs Vineyard along the South Thompson River. Owned by Ed and Vicki Collett, this wine was made at the Okanagan Crush Pad in Summerland by chief winemaker Michael Bartier.
At only 8.5% alcohol, this is one great off-dry sipper.
The nose offers apricot and peaches, wild honey, yellow apples and spring flowers. It has a fantastic mouthfeel, which is both tangy and lush at the same time. Here, lime and stonefruit, apples and quince vie for your attention. It has lovely freshness, a dollop of sweetness and very good concentration with a racy, mouthwatering finish.

Harper's Trail ' Silver Mane Block' Riesling, British Columbia
Readers rated this wine:

Harper's Trail is one of only a handful of wineries pioneering the Kamloops wine region along the South Thompson River. Owned by Ed and Vicki Collett, who have used winemaker Michael Bartier as a consultant since day one, Harper's Trail now has their own winery and has large expansion plans for the next decade or so.
Their estate is home to highly regarded limestone soils, which are responsible for making some of the world's greatest wines.
This outstanding Riesling offers lemon drops and green apples, chalky limestone, mountain stream minerality and a slight smokiness. The palate echoes a dominant mineral character, which adds complexity and focus. Intense with a a kiss of sweetness and a long lip-smacking finish.

The Field Blend Red is Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc with a splash of Chardonnay. Notes of smoked plums and carob, wild red berries, dried herbs. saline, tobacco and cedar aromas lead to a juicy and lively palate. Tangy red berries, toasted brown spice, cedar, black coffee and dark chocolate flavours dominate. A savoury red, leaning toward lighter bodied.
