Tangy, fresh, value.

Harper's Trail pioneered the Kamloops wine region with their Thadd Springs Vineyard along the South Thompson River and is owned by Ed and Vicki Collett.
The always solid value aromatic Field Blend White is a mix of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer. Expect green apricots, star fruit, pear and honey, hay and fresh mountain stream aromas. It's a dry style with notes of melon, honey, green apples, lime and grapefruit. The finish is tangy. It's a nice straightforward white wine for fresh salads, grilled shellfish or mildly spicy dishes.

Harper's Trail 'Pioneer Block' Thadd Springs Vineyard Riesling, Thompson Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Precise, transparent, crunchy.
Having forged the Kamloops Wine Trail (and as of 2018, the Thompson Valley sub-GI), Harper’s Trail has been doing delicious things with estate Riesling and Pinot Noir (among others) on the southern banks of the Thompson River for more than a decade.
Today the wines are uder guidance of Pascal Madevon, and previously Michael Bartier.
The estate is named for another pioneer, cattle drive rancher, Thaddeus Harper who lived in the region in the 1800s.
Consistently a stand-out, this Pioneer Block Riesling rolls out marmalade and honey lime, peach stone and crunchy green apples. Lively, dry and pristine the palate echoes the nose with crunchy stone fruits and citrus flavours. Excellent concentration and weight; the finish is mouthwatering.
