Readers rated this wine:
Sweet, smooth, vibrant.
The grapes that make this Merlot come from the Similkameen, Okanagan Falls and the Golden Mile Bench. It was aged in French and American oak. Plush notes of plum cake and black cherries are woven with baking spices, licorice, vanilla, mocha and a fine sprinkling of white pepper. It's a supple and vibrant red with dried herbs, roasted brown spices, espresso and toasted oak flavours.
Approachable.

Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery Pinot Noir, Similkameen Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Tart, savoury, earthy.
Made entirely from estate Pinot grown near Cawston in the Similkameen Valley Mt. Boucherie's version suggests angular aromas of sour cherry and wild red berries, leather, cedar, fine brown spice and white pepper. The entry is smooth and sweet, then turns more savoury mid-palate with bacon fat flavours bordering on raw meat, wild herbs and smoked spice. Light-medium bodied with a soapy and peppery finish.

Made entirely from estate Pinot grown near Cawston in the Similkameen Valley, Mt. Boucherie's 2019 version open with spice and sour cherry, and taper into with bacon fat, soy sauce, garden hers, dried violets, beet greens and leather. It has a silky texture and classic savoury palate. Good freshness here; medium-bodied and a nice representation of the variety.

Tangy, juicy, earthy.
Made entirely from estate Pinot grown near Cawston in the Similkameen Valley Mt. Boucherie's 2018 version is a step up from the 2017. Here, cherry and dried roses, tealeaf and cocoa nibs, leather wild herbs and botanical and fine spice notes lead to a juicy entry with sweet red berries and cherries, vanilla and cedar flavours.
