Road 13 Jackpot Pinot Noir, Okanagan Valley BC, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
A new name and new packaging, the (formerly known as) Golden Mile Cellars has hit the jackpot with their new style. Simple, clean labels in red/white/black and some new proprietary names as well.
This screw-capped Pinot Noir has a bright, beautiful ruby colour and very appealing, pretty aromas of sweet cherry, mixed wild and dried flowers, cedar box and spices with raspberry undertones. The wine is still very young but the palate shows bright acidity and juicy red fruit, a silky texture and lingering earth, smoked spices and fine grained tannins.
Delicious - I look forward to trying it again in another year.
