Dunham Froese Pinot Noir, Okanagan Valley BC, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
Sour cherry, red berries, savoury herbs, leather and forest floor aromas The palate shows bright, tart red fruit, plenty of spice and pepper, tea leaf and cedarbox and earthy undertones. Very well balanced and not too astringent - stands up well against other B.C Pinot Noirs.
Wine Scores Reviewed - August 4th, 2009
Mixed red berry and tart cherry, earthy/mushroom-y aromas and cedar with hints of sage and a pinch of pepper. The texture stands out in this wine - silky against the tongue with raspberry fruit followed by savoury flavours - herbs and pepper, fleur de sel and forest floor. Loads of spice, good acidity and a substantial finish.
Pair with duck, salmon with wild mushroom cream sauce or morel risotto.
