Tinhorn Creek Gewurztraminer, Okanagan BC, 2006
Readers rated this wine:
As Sandra Oldfield says, the Gewurztraminer vines grown in a block right behind the house which shouldn't (in theory) be an appropriate place for them (he Golden Mile where they are located is pretty darn hot). But by simple fluke, the location ends up losing the sun (ergo the heat) earlier than her other vineyard blocks.
The 2006 Gewurztraminer is bursting with exotic spices, rose oil, tropical fruit, smoke and cold cream aromas. It is rounded and smooth on the palate bursting with sweetly spiced fruit.
Perfect patio wine or try it with uber-fresh and spiced Thai or Vietnamese dishes.
