Quails' Gate Pinot Noir, Okanagan Valley BC, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
When BC drinkers think Pinot, they think Quails' Gate. Quails' Gate has been making Pinot Noir for more than a quarter of a century but now with the talent of winemaker Grant Stanley they are doing it better than ever. This youthful 2007 vintage is quite dark ruby in colour with deep aromas of red berries, chocolate, spice and tobacco with crushed floral notes. It's very supple on the palate with primary spice flavours followed by tart red fruit and cedar box.
Decant prior to serving and pair with duck spring rolls dipped in a sweet and spicy glaze.
