Danzante Pinot Grigio, Tre Venzie Italy, 2008
Readers rated this wine:
Tre Venzie refers to the three northeastern regions of Italy - Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia all from which the Danzante Pinot Grigio grapes are sourced.
Slightly copper in tone the Danzante has aromas of Asian pear and melon, wild musky honey, marzipan and lemon zest with plenty of minerality. On the palate it is smooth, almost slick in texture with pomelo citrus, honey and almond oil with a hint of banana. Soft rounded acidity and a long finish - would pair well with pasta with creamy mushroom sauce or dense white fish.
