The 2005 is more elegant than the 2004 which was slightly more assertive - higher acidity, tannins and darker fruit. The aromas in the 2004 are ripe black berries, red plums and warm, sweet chocolate, leather a hint of savoury herbs. Spiced plums and creamy chcocolate, vanilla and coffee on the palate, the acidity is still there - making it a good food wine - it's earthy and savoury with spice and berries lingering on the finish.
