Seaglass Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Barbara California, 2007
Readers rated this wine:
We all know that what's on the outside has nothing to do with what's on the inside (but it doesn't stop us from falling for the pretty wrapping) but this package is terribly appealing. Cool, relaxing colours of seafoam and turquoise suit our seasonal sipping moods and what's inside is tasty too.
With less obvious grassy/herbal aromas than some Sauvignon Blancs, the Seaglass features bright white fruits, floral and white grapefruit aromas with undertones of gooseberry and sweet pea shoots. The mouth has a creamy freshness with underlying snappy acidity and minerality. The finish is mouth-watering and clean with a suggestion of orange creamsicle.
