Porcupine Ridge Syrah, Cape of Good Hope South Africa, 2006
Readers rated this wine:
The appearance is inky with purplish reflections. The aromas are rich - juicy dark berries and black cherry aromas and plummy undertones, earth and mocha notes. In the mouth the Porcupine Ridge Syrah is smooth, layered and earthy, showing dark fruits, meaty/sausage-y and savoury herbal flavours with cracked black pepper and bittersweet chocolate on the finish.
