To be released in July 2009, the 2007 vintage Blind Trust Red is 50% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Sauvignon with the remaining 22% being Cabernet Franc.
Oodles of berry and juicy cherry aromas, liberal dark chocolate and vanilla with savoury herbal tones of dried oregano and sage and szechuan peppercorns. Plummy, berry flavours on the palate with cocoa and plenty more savoury flavours echoing the nose. Good acidity throughout, and a smooth finish with spice flavours lingering.
