Chateau de Serame Minervois, Languedoc France, 2006
Readers rated this wine:
Bright ruby-purple, the Minervois is a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre and Carignan. A firm wine with plenty of berry, black cherry and licorice aromas and savoury notes of smoke, garrigue and leather. The cherry/berry reappear on the palate, the entry is supple, mid-palate brings mouth-filling tannins and flavours of spice, bittersweet cocoa and roasted coffee beans. Pair with grilled meats or hearty protein dishes.
