Orofino "Sagebrush" Pinot Noir, Similkameen BC,2006
Readers rated this wine:
This new screw-capped Pinot Noir had just been released when I tasted it at Orofino. It's a second, entry level series called Sagebrush that was harvested from non-estate fruit.
The label is slightly different than the classic Orofino and the juice is good. Youthful, with aromas of sour cherry, dried strawberries and spiced tobacco with red fruit on the palate, surprising power and hints of savoury herbs, smoke, leather and spice on the finish.
