Chateau de Cabriac 'Corbieres', France, 2006
Readers rated this wine:
This is a wine that you not only want to sniff all day but it seems you could never tire of its rustic elegance...
Made from Syrah, blended with Mourvedre (25%), Carignan (25%) and Grenache (20%) it smells of cherries, raspberries and perhaps a hint of wild blueberry. There are also aromas of saddle leather, garrige and crushed floral and a hint of hazelnut. It enters the palate with juicy red fruit - flavours of mocha, cedar and fine spices and leather follow. Dusty, fine grained tannins throughout.
Excellent value - without doubt.
