Hailing from the DO (Denominacion de Origen) Alamansa in Spain the Castillo is an earthy and garnet-hued with purplish glints and aromas of blackcurrent, plum and leather with floral, forest floor and iodine notes. A warm mid-palate shows spiced dark fruit flavours swimming in drying, chalky tannins and the finish softens with lingering oak spice.
