Danzante Pinot Grigio, Tre Venzie Italy, 2005
Readers rated this wine:
In case you haven't heard of Tre Venzie before it is simply the three northeastern regions of Italy - Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia all from which these Pinot Grigio grapes were sourced. I found the style to be slightly heartier than many other northern Italian Grigios I have tasted recently with buttery fruit aromas, roasted pear and honey notes. It's softly rounded on the palate with citrus peel, spice and stone mineral flavours and a crisp, zesty finish.
Pair with antipasti platters or pan-fried white fish.
