Moon Curser 'Heist' Rose, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Savoury, earthy, dry.
The Osoyoos-based estate winery Moon Curser makes a wide range of wines, many from varieties rare to Canada. This Syrah dominated rose blend is a bold ruby shade. Don't expect Provence here, it's a robust style, more reminiscent of those from the Southern Rhone's Tavel region. It's earthy and dominated by aromas of tobacco, cranberry, rhubarb, wild herbs and dried flowers. Bone dry with an intense savoury character with a firm backbone and flavours of olives, tart red berries, bitter orange and tealeaf. A rose for BBQing.

Moon Curser Arneis, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Tasty, unique, fresh.
Arneis is a rare variety, especially here; it's a Piedmontese grape, but Mooncurser does well by it.
It's a consistent wine vintage in and out; crunchy green apples, lime, star fruit, snap pea and spring blossoms aromas are layered with stony minerality. It has tension and freshness, a creamy weight and flavours of mineral and crunchy fruit brisk lemon and green almond.

Slick, singular, pristine.
Arneis is a rare variety outside of Piedmont, Italy and is managed well by MoonCurser.
It's a pristine white with notes of yellow apples and wildflowers, lemon drops, tangerine peel and honeydew melon. Excellent concentration in the mouth it has a slight prickle on the tongue and a sort of resinous texture. Powerful, fulfilling and it culminates in a snappy, fruity finish.
A singular wine that's def worth seeking.
