Moon Curser 'Dead of Night', Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Muscular, savoury, fresh..
Dead of Nightis a blend of Tannat (Madiran's tannic red variety) and Syrah, both from the South Okanagan and if you've had this wine before, there are no surprises.
Expect smoked plums and cocoa, roasted coffee beans and toasted spice with undertones of grilling meat. It's fresh off the top and becomes more grippy mid-palate. Restrained black fruit is layered with spice, toasted oak and dark mocha. It's a muscular wine, brooding and savoury that will pair well with BBQ, roast, hard cheeses and game meats.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Canadian Chedder & Chive

Moon Curser 'Dead of Night', Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Potent, expressive, plush.
Moon Curser is named for gold-smugglers trying to cross the Canada, U.S. border under the cover of darkness during the gold rush era. Often the brightness of the moon would foil their plans and they would be caught in their illegal activities.
The Dead of Night is a blend of Tannat (Madiran's tannic red grape variety) and Syrah, both from the South Okanagan.
Rich and chocolaty with kirsch, sarsaparilla, toffee and mocha aromas, which rolls into a plush and potent, spicy and generous palate. It is an opulent wine, modern but well structured.
Delicious.

Excellentl, succulent, complete.
Dead of Nightis a blend of Tannat (Madiran's tannic red grape variety) and Syrah, both from the South Okanagan.
It is a succulent delight of cocoa, espresso, smoked meats and white pepper supported by sweet plums and black forest berries. The palate is well-developed and complete; the balance spot-on and structure notable. The finish is lengthy with a bittersweet mocha lilt.
