Achaval Ferrer Malbec, Mendoza Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Luscious, potent, gorgeous.
A fantastic Malbec, harvested from four sites within Mendoza between 2800-3600ft above sea level. It was aged 10-mos in French oak barrels. Inky in colour, it offers plush aromas of kirsch, violets, vanilla, mocha and licorice. It is supple and concentrated; flavours of purple fruit, espresso, iodine, dark chocolate and pipe tobacco dominate the palate. It is powerful yet balanced, generous and complete.

Canella Bellini, Veneto Italy
Readers rated this wine:
Fizzy, fun, effervescent.
A fizzy and creamy an aperitif Bellini made similarly to the more traditional style as served in northern Italy. Bellini-in-a-bottle is made with real Canella Prosecco from Veneto and is blended with local fresh white peach juice and pulp and a touch of raspberry juice for added colour. All natural - gently effervescent and peachy, this refreshing libation is summer in a bottle.

Canella Prosecco Superiore DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene , Veneto Italy
Readers rated this wine:
Crunchy, delightful, lengthy.
A delightful Prosecco with green/yellow glints and fresh notes of crunchy green pears fruits, peach stone, rose petals and orange blossoms with a seam of minerality. The palate is creamy; it has a kiss of sweetness and excellent concentration. The fizzy bubbles are lovely and the lengthy finish rolls across the palate with notable almond flavours. La Riojana 'Believer' Red Blend, La Rioja, Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Mature, savoury, salty
La Riojoana is a co-operative that makes multiple labels available in our market including Raza, and the fair trade Timilmuqui. This colourful wine is made from Malbec and Syrah and is also organic and fair trade. Because of it's age, I suggest drinking now if you do pick this one up. Prunes and dried cherries, molasses and leather, pipe tobacco and white pepper aromas are echoed on the palate along with dusty cocoa and salted licorice. I like the complimentary blend here, and would be interested in tasting it when it was young and fresh. ©copyright 2021 Daenna Van Mulligen

Named for Raza Polo, a special Argentine pony breed this reserve Malbec suggests wild cherries and blackberries, roasted coffee beans and wild herbs along faint vanilla notes. The Salted licorice lines the palate. It is angular with s medium-length bittersweet cocoa finish. ©copyright 2021 Daenna Van Mulligen
