This new product arrived just last month, in July, and has added a crackling opportunity for those looking for something fresh, but from an Old World region.
Made from Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan, it leads with notes of rich mocha and plum cake, cherry jam and pipe tobacco, exotic spices and fragrant botanicals. The palate is somewhat more restrained but shows lovely balance; spice, tobacco and wild fruit lounges on a plush palate.

Tangy, restrained, waxy.
This delightful blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from the south of France delivers waxy lemon and yellow apple aromas layered with mineral notes. The palate is a mirror of the nose, tangy and lemony and concentrated with a hint of pine resin and green almond on the finish. This is not a flashy wine, it has more restrained and is a perfect food wine with seafood, white meats and starters.

Rustic, spicy, textural.
A blend of Syrah, Merlot and Carignan from the south of France it has the savoury and rustic character I come to expect from this area.
Wild berries and spice rub, bacon fat and vanilla aromas lead to a fresh palate of wild black and red berries, garrigue and spice. It is ripe, has textural tannins and a long grippy finish trailing cocoa flavours.

Plush, generous, supple.
A superb Syrah from the south of France La Croix Belle is all about freshness; only a small portion was aged briefly in oak, to add complexity. It delivers plush notes of plums soaked in vanilla, fine white pepper, star anise, cherries dipped in warm chocolate, coffee and orange blossoms. Decadent generous purple fruit, earth and coffee flavours dominate the palate; it's supple and fleshy with a fresh lengthy finish.

Pristine, buoyant, slick.
Made from organic Glera (the grape of Prosecco) and Raboso (for it's ruby colour) this pretty pale salmony frizzanti offers honey and stone fruits, wild red berries and delicate floral notes. It is juicy and leans dry, is pristine and has a slick texture. Tangy and buoyant, this is a delicious sipper any day of the week--if you don't drink it all in one go, it has a handy built in swing top cork closure.
