Sandhill Sangiovese Rose, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Slick, pretty, juicy.
This pretty apricot stained white is made from a single vineyard (Block C9) planted with Italy's iconic Sangiovese grape, and made by winemaker Sandy Leier. The nose is delicate; red tangy berries red apple skin, watermelon rind and vague cedar and earth. It has a juicy and pristine palate that is lively and slick and woven with sour cherry flavours. Good structure, a definitive food pink, with a zesty finish.
A small lot production of only 12 barrels.

Sandhill Sauvignon Blanc 'Hidden Terrace Vineyard', Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Fragrant, floral, lively.

Impressive aromas of elderflower, guava, pink grapefruit alongside grass clippings and snap peas. It is juicy with vibrating acidity and classic Sauvignon herbaceous characters. Not a smack-you-in-the-face style, but wonderfully lively and fragrant.
Pair: with herb crusted white meats, goat cheese, asparagus flan or mild salsa verde on fish.

Sandhill Sauvignon Blanc, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Zesty, mouthwatering, floral
Sandhill wines are made from seven unique BC vineyards: Sandhill Estate (Oliver), King Family (Penticton), Phantom Creek (Oliver), Osprey Ridge (Oliver), Hidden Terrace (Oliver, behind McIntyre Bluff), Carsoroso (Kelowna), and Vanessa Vineyard (Similkameen Valley).
This Sauvignon Blanc comes from grapes harvested from the Sandhill and Hidden Terrace Vineyards and is more floral and fruity, than a typically more verdant New Zealand style.
Expect aromas of wildflowers and wet stone, star fruit, green apples, grass clippings, peach stone and snap peas. It's a mouthwatering option with nice structure, a hint of grassiness, yellow fruit and peach flavours, which are underscored by citrus.

Sandhill Sovereign Opal, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Pristine, juicy, delightful. Sandhill wines are made from one of seven unique BC vineyards: Sandhill Estate (Oliver), King Family (Penticton), Phantom Creek (Oliver), Osprey Ridge (Oliver), Hidden Terrace (Oliver, behind McIntyre Bluff), Carsoroso (Kelowna), and Vanessa Vineyard (Similkameen Valley).
This Sovereign Opal is from the Casoroso site and offers pretty aromas of white raisins, lime leaf and honey, and a fruit cups of peaches, pears, apples and cherries. The palate is off dry but drier than I recall from years back. It is slick and juicy, pristine and punchy. A delightful lower alcohol sipper.

Sandhill Viognier 'Osprey Ridge Vineyard', Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Lime, honey, tangy.
A new addition to the lineup of Sandhill wines, although they've had a Small Lots Program Viognier in the tall black bottle for many years.
This version is more value driven and is not as complex or concentrated, however it does offer lime and crunchy orchard fruits, lemon curds ad honey aromas. It's a leaner style, tangy with focused acidity.
