Exuberant, fun, expressive.
Housed in a great new bottle shape, and ade from Gamay (83%) and Merlot, this off-dry, pale pink with rose gold glints offers exuberant aromas of strawberry, tangerine, peach stone and vanilla. It's a bouncy wine; there is a kiss of sweetness (7.2g/L residual if numbers float your boat) and plenty of expressive fruit. The texture is slick and it has a tangy, mouthwatering finish.
Solid.

Sandhill 'Terroir-Driven' Rose, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Strawberry, fun, straightforward.
Made from Gamay and Merlot, this off-dry and pale pink rose offers unbound aromas of strawberry marshmallow and red cherry, orange blossoms and fine spice, with distinct wild herbs and grasses at the core. There is some residual sweetness, a slightly drier version would be appreciated, and the flavours of sweet red fruit, tangerine and spice mimic the nose. A straightforward and fun rose.

Sandhill Merlot, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Expressive, spiced, fresh.
Sandhill wines are made from seven unique BC vineyards: Sandhill Estate (Oliver), King Family (Penticton), Phantom Creek (Oliver), Osprey Ridge (Oliver), Hidden Terrace (Oliver, behind McIntyre Bluff), Carsoroso (Kelowna), and Vanessa Vineyard (Similkameen Valley).
This Merlot comes from grapes harvested from the Sandhill and Hidden Terrace Vineyards and it's an expressive one. Licorice and Italian plums, black raspberries, cola, white pepper and chocolate aromas roll onto a savoury and fresh palate. It's good structure and substance, it's not jammy as the nose suggests. Black fruit flavours are woven with cocoa, pipe tobacco and wild sage flavours. It has a smooth and spicy finish.
