Readers rated this wine:
Golden, honest, elegant.

Another honest wine from Bartier Bros., this richly hued Chardy offers beeswax, grilled baguette dripping with butter, toasted hazelnuts, brown spices, marmalade and honey. It has an attractive oxidative character with undertones of lemon peel, crunchy white fruit and mineral. It is quite succulent, with umami flavours rolling over the tongue.
Overall, elegant, toasty, ripe and entirely unique.
Pair: Roast chicken, smoked Gouda grilled cheese, creamy pastas, halibut.
