CedarCreek Estate Winery Chardonnay, Okanagan Valley BC
Readers rated this wine:
Golden, toasted, fresh.
This Chardonnay is aged in very large oak vats called foudre, which prevents less juice to wood contact, which means less oakiness and more fruit expression in the finished wine. The style of the barrel also allows less air penetration, thereby less oxidization in the wine.
Smoky and buttery with voluptuous golden fruit, toasted pastries and grilled lemons. The palate is equally buttery and spicy with light toast. Substantive yet juicy, with overall great value. Pair: Crab ravioli, corn on the cob, smoked Gouda, creamy soups and pastas.

Scented, pristine, zippy.
Scented with lychee, rose oil, orange blossoms, cold cream, 5 spice and pomelo, this vintage, CedarCreek's version is but not blousy, pristine and not overly-perfumed on the palate. It has a zippy character and although off-dry, is balanced.
Pair: Onion and gruyere tart, with coconut curry, glazed ham or turkey.

A blend dominated by Malbec with 35% Cabernet, 28% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc. The nose projects plush aromas of chocolate, leather, black raspberry, blackberry tea and vanilla.
