CedarCreek 'Platinum' Sparkling Rose, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
Tangy, racy, dry.
After many years of renovations, Cedar Creek has had a much needed transformation to their winery and hospitality center. Simultaneously the vineyards and winemaking are in the final stages of their five year transition to organic.
This 100% Pinot Noir sparkling comes from the Jagged Rock Vineyard on the black Sage Bench. It was fermented for four months on lees in stainless tanks then moved to clay vessels to age on skins for 157 days.
It's a pale onionskin shade and suggests sweet notes of orange blossoms and peaches, tangy red berries and apple skins. A dry fizzy wine, it is juicy with crunchy tree fruits and tart red berry flavours to echo the nose. The acidity is on point; the finish is racy and zesty.

CedarCreek Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Okanagan Valley
Readers rated this wine:
Verdant, lively, tangy.
A newish wine for CedarCreek, this Savvy was fermented in stainless, concrete and oak then aged on lees for three months to add texture and creaminess.
Gooseberry and green apple, grass clippings, wet stone, lemon juice and peach fuzz aromas are the precursors to a racy and verdant palate. The flavours mimic the nose, herbal and citrus dominate, the finish is tangy and mouthwatering.

CedarCreek Estate Cabernet Franc, Okanagan Valley, BC
Readers rated this wine:
New, firm, fragrant.
For the first time in 20 years, Cabernet Franc, a variety CedarCreek has used predominantly as a blender, has it's own label.
Grown in CedarCreek's southern Okanagan vineyard, it is comprised of Cab Franc with 10% Merlot that was aged 12 months in oak barrel.
The nose suggests sweet notes of raspberry and kirsch, red licorice and vanilla, baking spices and dried wild flowers. It's a concentrated model with some notable skin contact. Coffee, dark cocoa,, roasted spice and pipe tobacco flavours dominate. The tannins are firm and hold tight to the palate.
I suggest pairing this with hard cheeses, hearty bean casseroles, or BBQ.

CedarCreek Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Okanagan Valley
Readers rated this wine:
NEW, lively, tangy.
A new wine for CedarCreek, this Savvy is lively and fresh. Grass, honey, peaches, green apples, gooseberry and elderflower aromas morph into a fruity and tangy palate with a tart and verdant finish. The kiss of sweetness here balances the tang, and is calmed by balanced acidity.
A great first-go.
