From Stellenbosch's prolific and historic producer Spier, this classic Cabernet is wonderfully succulent. Notes of black currents and warm chocolate, coffee grounds, green olives, paprika and a hint of green tobacco are expressed on the nose. The palate is an echo of that with wild black fruits, brown spices, toasted oak and rich plummy undertones. Paprika and pepper linger on the finish. Fresh, smooth, savoury.
From one of Stellenbosch's most historic producers Spier, this classic Cabernet offers currents, dusty plums, saddle leather and fresh soil, chocolate, brown spices, coffee and wild herbs. It's medium-bodied and fresh with a smooth texture and mouthfilling flavours of red berries, spice and chocolate bitters. Charming, lively, fresh.
Made from grapes (70% Chardy) grown in Durbanville and Stellenbosch, this rose has a pale apricot shade and delivers wild red berries, orange blossom, fine spices, wild herbs, peach stone and honey aromas. It's a drier style of blush with muddled berries and citrus flavours. The texture is slick, it has some backbone from the Pinot and is fresh and approachable. Pair: Fish, spicy cuisines, white meats, summer salads and soft cheeses. Made from grapes (70% Chardy) grown in Durbanville and Stellenbosch, this rose (well it is a rose, even if it's not labelled as such) has a pale apricot shade and delivers boysenberry, redwood, charred orange peels, smoked spices and tealeaf aromas. It is fresh, has the structure to stand up to oily fish and white meats, and offers tangy fruit, citrus and cedary flavours. Pair: Fish, spicy cuisines, white meats, summer salads and soft cheeses.
