Savoury, fulfilling, honest.
This organic blend of Grenache, Syrah and Merlot is made in the 16th century Chateau de Caraguilhes, which was once part of a Cistercian abbey located near Carcasonne.
It has an earthy sense of place, which is delightful. Rich plummy aromas are woven with cherry and chocolate, garrigue and wildflowers, fennel fronds, vanilla atop herbal/menthol undertones. It's a medium-bodied and balanced red with mint, peppery spices, cocoa, pipe tobacco and cinnamon flavours woven with fresh red fruits and finishing with more fennel. It is a fulfilling and honest wine.
Pair: game meats, aged and crumbly cheeses, hearty eggplant dishes.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper
