Succulent, brooding, handsome.
Located south of Oliver on the way to Osoyoos, the family owners of CC Jentsch have been fruit growers in the Okanagan since the late 1920s.
The Chase is a blend of Cabernet and Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot, Merlot and Malbec. It's a handsome wine, which offers wild fresh berries, smoked plums, leather, toasted spices, cocoa, sage and tomato leaf aromas. It is succulent and supple, almost brooding in character, with roasted espresso beans, dark chocolate and mixed spice flavours. Good overall balance here, a serious red.
Pair: BBQ, grilled meats, roasted portobello mushroom ravioli and hard cheeses.
