Expressive, lifted, harmonious.
This label is a selection of Citation's best barrels from exceptional sites and they have seen additional bottle age before release. They note it is the finest Pinot Noir they offer and is created by looking beyond the limits of geographic boundaries to attain the highest quality possible. The most promising vineyard blocks were selected and fermented in small vessels. Punched-down twice a day by hand, the wine was later gently pressed to French oak barrels and aged for the next 18 months.
Lifted cherry and raspberry aromas mingle with botanical, vanilla, baking spice tealeaf and a potpourri of cedar chips and dried violets. Expressive sweet berry and spice flavours flow across the palate; it is cohesive, persistent and balanced, it's harmonious and a joy to drink.
