Classic, delicacy, pretty.
Township 7 was one of the first BC wineries to make a traditional method sparkling wine in 1999. After some sporadic years Seven Stars was reborn in 2015 under the guidance of winemaker Mary McDermott who took over the role in 2014.
Seven Stars is now its own sparkling brand and the wines are available through the winery.
Pronounced Rye-gel the Seven Stars 2023 Riesling was harvested from the Fool's Gold Vineyard in North Oliver. It has lovely classic Riesling notes including: apricots, apple blossoms and lemon drops. It has notable purity and a fresh rather than creamy character. A pretty wine with fine bubbles and a delicate fruitiness overall. The finish is long, crisp and citrusy.
Pair: Dungeness crab, oysters or salty frites dipped in creamy aioli.
