Organic, fresh, supple.
Located in Keremeos, in the arid Similkameen Valley, Robin Ridge makes wine entirely from organically grown estate fruit. As is usual, they like to hold their wines back prior to release so they are ready to drink when you are, plus for what's in the bottle, this wine shows excellent value.
Sweet plummy/cherry aromas are woven with vanilla liqueur and strawberry jam, licorice, pencil shavings, and baking spice. Nice concentration here, it is earthy and fresh with varietal purity. Savoury and sweet like the nose, the fruit is supple and it has balance and integrity; spiced cocoa and coffee flavours trail on a lengthy finish.
