Savoury, juicy, rustic.
This organic blend of Grenache, Syrah and Merlot is made in the 16th century Chateau de Caraguilhes, which was once part of a Cistercian abbey located near Carcasonne.
Expect sweet plums, wild berries, garrigue and cocoa with savoury/salty undertones. The palate is smooth and rustic, succulent yet fresh. Good balance here, with smooth tannins--a food wine.
Pair: game meats, aged and crumbly cheeses, hearty eggplant dishes.
