L'Acadie Vineyards Vintage Cuvee Rose, Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia
Readers rated this wine:
Pristine, charming, persistent.
L'Acadie Vineyards was established by BC winemaker, Bruce Ewert in 2004 who saw potential in the region's ocean influenced cool-climate and ancient sea-bed soil terroir. It has become a respected producer of small lot organic sparkling wines like this traditional method blend of Marechal Foch, L'Acadie Blanc and Chardonnay. Salmon pink with tiny persistent chains of bubbles, it delivers vibrant aromas of strawberry-rhubarb compotes, small forest berries, tealeaf, orange segments, vanilla, honeysuckle and forest floor. Bubbly and vibrant, the palate mimics the nose with tangy tangerine and vanilla cream, strawberry and rhubarb flavours. Charming and fresh with a kiss of sweetness.
