Chateau Dereszla Furmint, Tokaji, Hungary
Readers rated this wine:
Singular, slick, purity.
Made from Furmint (known primarily for producing the historical sweet Tokaji dessert wines from northeast Hungary), blended with a splash of portion of Muskotaly grapes, this dry (szaraz) table wine comes from the Dereszla Winery, home to one of the oldest cellars in the Tokaj region. It's amazing value and a singular bottle; expect fleshy yellow fruits and almonds, honey and Meyer lemons, wildflowers after the rain and vague savoury undertones. The palate is juicy with notable purity of fruit and a slick entry. It's a delightful wine, beautifully constructed, with a mouthwatering and textural nutty finish. Amazing value!
