Consistent, fresh, classic.
This Chianti Classico, from Zingarelli is Sangiovese with small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that was aged in Slavonion and French oak for 24 months before bottling. Notes of strawberry and red cherries, vanilla, dried roses, tangerine zest, leather, mint and fine spices lead to a fresh palate. It has an earthy classic character with red fruits, tobacco, cedar and spice. Medium-bodied, this is a wine that consistently offers good value.

Rocca della Macie 'Campo Maccione' Vermentino, Maremma, Tuscany
Readers rated this wine:
Delightful, waxy. fresh.
A delightfully fresh and substantial white. Candle wax and star fruit, lemon grass and green almonds, acacia and wet stone aromas are muddles with creamy yellow fruit. The palate follows suit; waxy and creamy, rich and layered it boast a long citrus oil finish. ©copyright 2020 Daenna Van Mulligen

Rocca della Macie 'Tenuta Sant' Alfonso' Chinati Classico. Tuscany, Italy
Readers rated this wine:
Rich, power, earthy.
Made solely from grapes from the Sant' Alfonso vineyard, this Chianti Classico was aged 12 months in large French oak barrels. While it's not a riserva, it is a single vineyard wine that offers notes of rich black cherry and strawberry, licorice, leather, chocolate, cedar and balsamic. The palate has a lovely weight and notable sapidity with dark chocolate, cocoa, leather, coffee and earthy flavours. Good power here overall. ©copyright 2023 Daenna Van Mulligen
