Unique, slick, zesty.
Hamilton Vineyard in Southeast Kelowna produces the Pinot Noir grapes for this minimal skin contact white wine made from red grapes; the free run juice is captured while avoiding colour extraction. The juice is fthen ermented to complete dryness in a stainless-steel tank.
I've preferred earlier versions of this wine, but it's still a refresher. Expect notes of small tart red berries and wild herbs, melon peel, wet soil and vague undertones of peach and bacon fat. It has a slick texture and zesty character with flavours of green almond and grapefruit peel.
