Decero Cabernet Sauvignon, Remolinos Vineyard, Agrelo, Mendoza, Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Supple, toasted, succulent.
This single 1050m high Remolinos Vineyard is a special site, which is owned by Decero, and located in the sub-appellation of Agrelo, in Mendoza.
Aged for 14 months in French oak it offers bittersweet chcocolate, espresso, black currents, graphite ans savoury spice with tinges of green olives. The palate is an echo of the nose; dark berries and dark mocha, spice and earth. Overall good freshness, structure and persistence but as is typical it leans toward brooding, making it a wine for BBQ, hearty proteins and grilled mushrooms.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper

Supple, plush, polished.

Always succulent, this vintage was aged for 14 months in French oak.
The nose is plush and chocolaty with undertones of Turkish coffee, vanilla liqueur, sweet spices, black plums and cherry. The palate is equally decadent. Generous fruit, leather, mocha, baking spices and vanilla echo the nose. It has polished tannins and a supple, rich finish.
A wine for BBQ, hearty proteins and grilled mushrooms.

Unique, toasted, succulent.

Undeniably succulent, this smoky Malbec offers roasted meats, dried herbs, toasted spices and blackberry, charred plums and bittersweet cocoa, on the nose. Wild, yet elegant on the palate, it is fresh, has earthy notes deftly woven with fleur de sel, toasted oak and spices.
