Pretty, fresh, creamy.
From 35-year-old hand harvested vines, this pretty 2020 Estate Cuvee Pinot Gris was fermented and aged five months in stainless steel, neutral oak barrel, and foudre before bottling.
Notes of apricot nectar, creamed pears, mountain stream and grapefruit lead to a pristine palate with lovely weight. It has excellent concentration and freshness and beautiful consistency from entry through finish.

Delicacy, fresh, creamy.
From 37-year-old vines, which have been hand harvested, this consistently thoughtful Estate Cuvee Pinot Gris was fermented with native yeasts, primarily in foudre and the remaining 25% in stainless steel. A portion was aged sur-lie in barrel.
It has a delicacy on the nose; Asian pear and spring flowers, pomelo, lime and mineral aromas lead to a creamy palate. It is slick with good complexity; the oak shows on the palate but doesn't overwhelm, rather adds texture and dimension.

Crunchy, fresh classic.
From 34-year-old hand harvested vines, the 2020 Estate Cuvee Pinot Gris was fermented and then aged six months sur-lie in stainless steel and neutral oak barrel, and foudre before bottling.
I prefer the 2020 over the more oak encumbered 2019.
Here, notes of crunchy green pears, wet stone, green almonds, candle wax, lemon zest and straw flowers lead to a tangy and dry palate. Snappy white fruits and bracing citrus flavours dominate. It's a classic with attractive weight and long racy finish.

Silky, classic, elegant

The Mavety family has been growing grapes high above Vaseaux Lake in the South Okanagan since 1971. Since 1991 they have been making their own wines under the Blue Mountain label.
This estate blend (cuvee) is made from 13-year-old vines, clones 114, 115, 667 and 777, and aged on lees in French oak barrels.
It's a wine with notes of spiced cherries, wet cedar, carrot tops, leather, and forest floor undertones. It's a silky wine with fluidity and elegance; tart red berries, fine spice and earth flavours prevail. It's an honest wine with a classic Burgundian character.

Silky, charming, elegant

The Mavety family has been growing grapes high above Vaseaux Lake in the South Okanagan since 1971. Since 1991 they have been making their own wines under the Blue Mountain label.
This estate blend (cuvee) offers notes of spice and raspberry, violets and cedar and pipe tobacco atop earthy undertones. Slick, silky and juicy with red fruits, cocoa, fine spice and tealeaf flavours it also has all the elements: balance, structure and finesse.
