ReNacer Punto Final Malbec, Mendoza Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Delicious, supple, affluent.
Consistently well made and delicious, this affluent Malbec offers delightful aromas of black raspberries, licorice, violets and vanilla atop mocha and baking spices. The palate leads with licorice flavours and echoes the nose with expressive, bordering on jammy, fruit. Fine tannins, a supple weight, good acidity and a lengthy finish define this wine nicely.

ReNacer Punto Final' Cabernet Sauvignon, Perdriel, Mendoza Argentina
Readers rated this wine:
Savoury, concentrated, inky.
A sibling to the Punto Final Malbec, this Cabernet is inky and dark, spicy and charry with undertones of leather, smoked meats, cocoa black currents and espresso. It is fresh with impressive concentration; spicy, intense and lengthy.
A powerhouse red to pair with: grilled meats, heard cheeses, hearty mushroom or tomato pastas or puy lentils with thyme.

Rombauer Vineyards Chardonnay, Carneros, Californina
Readers rated this wine:
Rich, buttery, delicious.
Chardonnay has been part of the Rombauer family's portfolio since the beginning, it was the first variety they crushed at their new winery in 82, and is certainly what they're most known for. When they built their winery they did so as a custom crush to recoup the cost of the build and in those early days were home to some of Napa Valley's most iconic wines, including: Duckhorn, Spottswoode, Etude and Dominus.
Golden hued and delivering ripe yellow apples, toasted pastries, honey, acacia and browned butter aromas it then rolls into a creamy yet fresh palate. Rich and buttery like the nose it shows generous golden fruits, creamed butter and grilled lemons with baking spice flavours trailing on the finish. Supple and balanced, woven and delicious.

Rupert Wines 'L'Ormarins' Brut Classique, Western Cape, South Africa
Readers rated this wine:
Lively, fresh, complex.
Made in the traditional method, and using Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this complex and thoughtful bubbly delivers hints of berries and crisp apples, lemon balm and wild herbs, honey and very vague toasty aromas. Like the nose, the palate is fresh; tree fruits and lively citrus flavours are delivered across the tongue. It has a creamy edge carved off by notable acidity and the bubbles are fine.

Rupert Wines 'L'Ormarins' Brut Classique, Western Cape, South Africa
Readers rated this wine:
Tasty, buoyant, lively.
Protea is South Africa's national flower, and an abstract is screen-printed on the bottle, which makes for quite a beautiful package.
A consistently friendly wine, it offers crunchy yellow fruits, white blossoms and citrus on the nose. The palate is equally buoyant and fresh; golden fruits and honey with vague smoky and earthy undertones to add savouriness. Approachable, good value and simply tasty.
