Organic, earthy, glycerol.
Made entirely from organic Cabernet Franc grown in Osoyoos on the Sekhon Family Vineyard, this rusty apricot-hued rose went through a full malolactic fermentation and was aged on lees in concrete.
Spicy red plums, forest berries, orange pekoe tea and wet straw aromas describe the nose. Thick with an almost syrupy/glycerol weight and texture it has definitive flavours of earth, of red fruit and berries fallen to the ground, forest floor and a hit of ouzo on the palate. It's dry but gives the impression of sweetness, the finish is spicy.
