Fragrant, fresh, powerful. South Okanagan's Moon Curser specializes in a broad range of varieties, rarely seen in Canada, while Malbec is slightly more common, their version is generally more opulent, but not this 2021 vintage.
This one was aged in new (25%) and neutral French oak barriques. Wonderfully fragrant, this 2021 offers violets and black raspberry, vanilla, and blackberry with iodine and baking spice aromas. It has a smooth entry, is fresh and show lovely structure. The finish is powerful with licorice, coffee and vanillin oak flavours. the finish is long and intense.
Pair: roasted or grilled meats, hard cheeses, spaghetti Bolognese or hearty mushroom and herb risotto.
