Italia Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie, Italy
Readers rated this wine:
Fresh, zesty, straightforward.
Established in 2003, Adria Vini is a winemaking venture jointly owned by Boutinot and Araldica Castelvero, the leading co-operative in the Monferrato hills of Piemonte. Their aim is to produce authentic, well-priced still and sparkling wines from local grape varieties. They source from a range of private growers and cooperatives, with whom they have long term relationships, principally in Veneto, Friuli, Lombardy, Sicily, Puglia, Abruzzo and Sardinia. Their aim is to provide a range that is both understandable and accessible. Quite simply, wine for drinking and enjoying.
As expected, this is straightforward every day Pinot Grigio displaying aromas of yellow fruits and white flowers, honey, fennel, green almond and wet stone. It's zesty and crisp and light-bodied with primary citrus flavours.

Les Vignerons du Castelas Cotes du Rhone Red, Rhone Valley, France
Readers rated this wine:
Savoury, fresh, cherry.
The cooperative cellar of the winegrowers of Castelas was created in 1952 when a handful of winegrowers combine efforts to develop the wines of the Cotes du Rhone, Cotes du Rhone Villages Signargues, AOP Tavel and IGP du Gard. The cellar's vineyards covers 450 hectares mainly in Cotes du Rhone with a combined 45 families of cooperative winegrowers.
Made from 60% Syrah with 40% Grenache this blend poses aromas of cherry compote and vanilla, leather, tobacco, mocha, toasted spices and garrigue. The entry is fresh and it has texture across the palate. It has a savoury foundation with a sweet overlying character and peppery finish. Nicely formed, a well honed red.

Araldica 'Conviviale' Pinot Grigio, Della Venezie, Italy
Readers rated this wine:
Fresh, straightforward, creamy.
Araldica is a third-generation, family-operated co-operative based in Piedmont. They work with over 230 Piedmont grower members and produce the high quality Piedmont wines from the most prestigious winegrowing DOC and DOCG regions including Barbera, Gavi, Langhe, Moscato, Barolo, Barbaresco, Monferrato and Roero. They also make wines from a number of other Italian regions such as this Pinot Grigio from Veneto.
Golden apples, lemon and Asian pear, burnt honey, green almond and wet stone aromas lead to a slick palate. It is fresh and nutty with a creamy edge and citrus undertones. It's a straightforward everyday value white for pastas, fish, starters and white meats.

Readers rated this wine:
Depth, complex, fresh.
This Cabernet Sauvignon (56%) with Merlot comes from T7's estate Blue Terrace vineyard on the North Bench in Oliver; it was barrel aged for 24 months in both American and French oak.
The NBO Bordeaux blend delivers stewed cherry, orange peel and dried strawberry, licorice, vanilla, baking spice and coffee liqueur aromas. It has fresh entry with spice and earth and a richness across the palate. It has depth and complexity and red fruit, tobacco and espresso flavours round out the palate. Pair: Grilled steaks, mushroom risotto, hearty stews and rustic soups.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Canadian Chedder & Chive

Generous, harmonious and silky.
Made in the historical method, this red IGT blend uses grapes left to dry on vine. The dried grapes are then added to the wine and left to referment together creating a more luscious and fruity wine. It's not unlike the appassimento wines of Veneto (Amarone, Recioto and Ripasso) but the process differs. The Tuscan version is known as Governo all'Uso Toscana.
Expect an enticingly scented wine that's earthy with black cherry, leather, dried flowers, spice and salted licorice. It's a supple red with notable intensity and flavours of chocolate and leather. The texture is silky and quite plush. It is generous, harmonious and mouthfilling. Delicious.

Chateau Pascaud Reserve Bordeaux Superier, Bordeaux, France
Readers rated this wine:

Fragrant, polished, appealing.
Chateau Pascaud is located just south of Galgon, about 7km north of Libourne. The vineyards are comprised of various parcels on well-exposed slopes close to, and in some cases inside the Fronsac appellation. Made entirely from Merlot from vines on average of 40 years, it suggests sweet cherry and vanilla, currants and dried flowers with cedar and chocolate. It has suppleness on the palate and flavours to echo the nose. Generous and smooth, modern and approachable. A very appealing red with polished tannins a long finish.
