Boutinot 'Cotes du Rhone Villages' Rhone, France
Readers rated this wine:
Polished, smoky, sweet.
Here's a cuvee made from almost entirely from Syrah (for finesse) and Grenache (for its fruit character).
Cherries and licorice, sweet purple berries and vanilla, baking spices and botanical with undertones of earth. It is smooth, has smoky sweet flavours or purple berries and paprika, dark cocoa and brown spices. The tannins are polished but add texture to the finish.
A lovely every day red, harmonious and simply delicious.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper

Boutinot 'La Cote Sauvage' Cairanne, Rhone, France
Readers rated this wine:
Generous, complex, woven.
Here's a cuvee made from old vine Syrah (for finesse), Mourvedre (for a touch of spice, and power), Carignan (for freshness) and Grenache for its fruit character.
The Cairanne appellation, tucked almost smack on the middle of the Southern Rhone, rests just below Rasteau and north of Vacqueyras and Gigondas, received its Cru status in 2016 after being classified Cotes du Rhone Villages since the 1960s. The 2016 vintage was a great follow up to the exceptional 2015 vintage--for some, it was even better.
This complex wine is detailed by smoked meat, muddled wild berry compote, savoury spices and leather. The attack is lined with sweet generous fruit and woven flavours mimic the nose. Supple, fresh and lengthy, it's drinking well now.

Boutinot 'Le Petit Chat Malin', France
Readers rated this wine:
Simple, value, juicy.
A simple value rose blessedly dry and light bodied that is made from Grenache with 30% Cinsault and 10% Syrah. A hue of pale salmon it offers juicy red berry, tangy Clementine oranges, garrigue, vanilla and fine spice. Affordable, easy and fresh it has a slight bitterness on the finish, making it a wine best for serving with food such as tomato pastas, cheese and charcuterie, summer salads and delicate fish.

This super approachable red from Boutinot (a company born in France, that makes and represents wine all over the world) is the perfect pizza wine. Readers rated this wine:
Satisfying, strapping, velvety.
The CS Substance Cabernet Sauvignon is made from Columbia Valley fruit and was aged on lees for 11 months in French oak, 50% new.
It's fruity and flamboyant with velvety cassis and cherry aromas woven with lavender, licorice, rich dark coffee and a splash of mint. It's a strapping red with similar flavours of mocha, salted licorice, leather, pipe tobacco and brown spices.
Deeply satisfying and approachable.
